Wearing a quality watch (regardless of the price) is a sign of refinement and maturity; i'd feel naked without mine. It's more convenient than cellphones, which essentially have the reputation of being disposable these days due to how often they're replaced, and frankly poor build-quality compared to a half-decent watch made with skill and love of the watch-making craft. Also it's much easier to look at your wrist than get your phone out of your pocket.
I've always worn mine on the left, despite being vaguely ambidextrous.
Hehe I actually have a pocket watch because I don't like the feeling of having something around my arm and stuff... you know? It's just uncomfortable. But my sister who is 2 years older then me, I bought her one, she has it because of the coolness
Cellphone made my watch pointess. It's sync'd to a satellite in space and I'm getting time updates even if I'm not paying for coverage. It's just accurate all the time. But when I did wear a watch (something I stopped doing around 1996), I wore it on my left hand. I'm ambidextrous in many things, but I write with my right hand.

Isn't that something old people wear?
