= n= ooo Unity. There's a game I've only just started beginning to develop, where I'm thinking of using a jump button. I want it to be an action RPG, and in terms of movement, I'm thinking of something like crystal chronicles DS game, and I adore double jumps. For that reason, I adore having watched your video and getting a feel for what you can do in Unity. Good stuff.
Hard to give feedback without knowing a bit more about the project. Is this a custom engine or are you running something like Quest3D?
I notice you have a cast shadow on the back wall but not under the character? If the shadow in the back is baked, consider a higher texture size for those. Looks super blocky now. If you aren't going to have realtime shadows, faking it with a shadow 'bubble' under the character will still help ground the character in the environment and is SUPER helpful if there are platforming elements.
The textures on the background elements need some serious love, but that should be obvious.
It's always fun to get stuff running in real time, but don't get distracted, but the time in to make it look sweet too!
The character model looks like a pretty good start!
I'll take a look at any other screenshots you've got in your gallery too.
thanks for the suggestions, I must admit the level was a rush build as I needed something to test in whilst building the game, and it was also a test for finding a decent approach to get a model with all the required texture maps, but as nothing more than a test it turned out better than I was expecting. but I promise I wont settle for anything that looks like this in my game
Oh wow, the last time I checked progress on this game must have been awhile ago, because it's looking a *lot* more polished now. Dude, you kick ass, this is better quality than many friggin Wii games! D:
