Description

Spent the morning looking over entries to dominance war (a game art competition on the net that seems to get uuber elite 3D folks entering [link]) and got really inspired to make a more detailed character model. plus this morning with the help of *FredrikH I got the hang of some cool baking tricks.

so here's the concept, its more detailed than I normally draw, and definitely more detailed than I 3D. she used to have a helmet but Fredrik pointed out I was missing the oppertunity to practice hair with it, also it covered her face and I need practice there too.

so anyhoo, this will be my little project for a while until I get back in the mood for coding the stuff I have to code.

I actually like the proportions a lot, and I can't really criticize anything here. I most appreciate the way that you left hard armor off of certain areas, and in a good way, too. A lot of futuristic characters in games are completely clad, with the minor exception of the area about their waists, and on their joints. Take Mass Effect and Halo characters, for example. The fact that you left for more soft plating makes the character look durable but sleek.

The glass-like beads remind me of Samus from Metroid, and that's a compliment. Maaan, I sure to like those beads.

Who says you can't have a helmet AND hair? Eh? Eh? Haha..
